This is EssentialOilDrops.com. I’m Sarah Jensen, the education professional behind it.
Essential oils are everywhere, but trustworthy, straight-to-the-point information isn’t. That’s why I made this site: it’s for people who want to use essential oils with intention and respect.
My goal is to give you clear explanations, practical guidance, and honest insights that help you decide what actually belongs in your daily routine.
I’ve spent over 20 years as an educator in the Bay Area, and that background shapes how I approach this site. I care about breaking things down clearly and not overstating what I don’t know. Think of this as real talk, from someone using essential oils daily.
Essential oils are a long-running personal interest of mine. My Native American heritage, from Canada on my mother’s side, has influenced what you see here. Plants and natural botanicals hold a respected place in those traditions. That’s part of what drew me toward understanding how these oils work and where they come from.
Essential oils can support relaxation, focus, and overall well-being but only when you understand how they work, how to use them safely, and what to avoid. My aim is to bridge the gap between curiosity and confidence, so you can make choices without feeling overwhelmed.
What I Focus On
I break essential oils down into real-life use cases:
- How individual oils are commonly used and why
- Simple ways to incorporate oils into your home and self-care
- Safety-first guidance, including dilution, application methods, and common mistakes
- Honest product insights to help you choose quality oils without overpaying
You don’t need dozens of bottles or complicated routines to benefit from essential oils; I personally like to keep it simple. All you need is the right information, and that’s what I’m here to give.
How the Guides Are Made
I shape what we cover and share what I’ve learned from years of using oils myself. The guides are researched and written with help, and I review them for clarity and practicality. For safety details like dilution rates and who should avoid an oil, we rely on established sources such as the ASPCA and published research, and we’re adding links to them as we update each guide.
When a product pick is based on my own use, I say so. When it’s based on specs and published lab reports, I say that instead. If you spot something that’s wrong or out of date, please let me know and I’ll fix it.
How This Site Is Funded
Some links on this site are affiliate links, including Amazon. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what I recommend or what I warn you away from.
My Philosophy
I take a grounded, practical approach to natural wellness. Essential oils are not miracle cures, and they are not replacements for medical care. Instead, they are supportive tools that can complement a balanced lifestyle when used responsibly.
Every piece of content I publish is created with three principles in mind: clarity, safety, and usefulness. If it’s not helpful, easy to understand, or relevant to everyday life, it doesn’t belong here.
My commitment to you is to maintain this site with that philosophy, with helpful information and the most up-to-date best practices.
Happy reading!
